Objectives(s) of Pumpkin Research and Education:
This research explores and identifies new fresh market watermelon and cantaloupe cultivar and variety releases for their suitability, marketability, growth and production characteristics, nitrogen fertility management, pollination and irrigation management under a typical south central Ohio growing season.
Pumpkin varieties include: Monster Smash, Jack Sprat, Freddie, Flat White Borer, Black Night, Gold Medal, Mustang, and Challenger.
