Forest & Wood Products Export Conference
Forest and Wood Products Export Conference to be held May 13 at Piketon
The United States has been a global leader in both production and consumption of wood products as well as an active participant in the wood products trade. The global demand for hardwood logs, lumber, veneer, furniture and specialty wood products is continually increasing.
To learn more about this rising demand and how to export your forest and wood products, join industry leaders at the Forest and Wood Products Export Conference that will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at The Ohio State University South Centers Endeavor Center in Piketon, Ohio. Breakfast and registration will begin at 8:30 AM with the program running from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. This event will be offered free of charge and will include materials and meals.
The conference will cover exporting topics such as Ohio’s forest industry outlook both for domestic and abroad, best locations to export and import and international market opportunities. In addition to these topics, speakers will be on hand to discuss how the cooperative business model is successful and how it could be used in the forest and wood products industry.
