Biography: 

Welcome to Dr. Gao’s home page at OSU South Centers. Dr. Gao is a small fruit specialist at South Centers. He conducts research trials on high value fruit crops. He also designs and delivers Extension programs on such fruit crops as Aronia, blackberries, blueberries, elderberries, goji berries, grapes, hardy figs, hardy kiwis, and raspberries.  Follow this link https://southcenters.osu.edu/horticulture/fruits for information on various fruit crops.

Dr. Gao is a professor with Ohio State University Extension and a courtesy professor with the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science, College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, The Ohio State University. Dr. Gao has been working at The Ohio State University since August 1994.  He received his Ph.D. and Master’s degree from THE as well. It is easy to conclude that he is a Buckeye for life!
