Course Offerings
Courses currently planned as part of Ohio State Academy: College Credit Plus at South Centers in Piketon, Ohio. will be held Tu, W, and/or Th between 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. Classes will be taught or facilitated by local Ohio State instructors.
Per Ohio Department of Education rules, students can only enroll in “Level One” courses during their first 15 credit hours in the CCP program. Entry into these courses is not guaranteed. Access to specific courses is based upon any assigned admission restrictions, placement testing, course prerequisites, course availability, and course limitation to particular majors or degree-seeking students. Advising and class selection occur at Orientation.
Autumn Semester
BUSTEC 2247T Business Law – “A study of legal principles, contracts, negotiable instruments, leases, sales, product liability, and consumer protection.”
BUSTEC 1202T Software Applications – “An overview of basic computer skills and study of the features and capabilities of presentations, word processing, spreadsheet and database software as decision management aids.”
SPRING Semester
BUSTEC 2231T Fundamentals of Marketing – “A survey of the field of marketing including functions, policies, problems, structure, strategies, and opportunities.”
BUSTEC 2244T Human Resource Management and Leadership – “A study of human resource, supervisory, and leadership principles and practices that focus on recruitment, training, evaluating, and compensating employees for improved productivity.”
BUSTEC 2232T Personal Selling – “A study of the basic principles and concepts of personal selling with emphasis on practical application and personal interaction.”
