The Ohio Center for Aquaculture Research and Development (OCARD) is located at OSU South Centers near Piketon, Ohio. Through collaborative research and comprehensive education programs, OCARD has made substantial impacts in growing the aquaculture industry in Ohio and beyond.

Home to a state-of-the-art genetics lab, full-scale research breeding center and dynamic team of researchers and educators, OCARD is working to create a sustainable aquaculture industry. There is currently a $10 billion seafood deficit in this country which provides great economic opportunities to new and existing fish farmers.

Whether you are interested in aquaculture research, think you want to be a fish farmer, or want to learn more about aquaculture in Ohio, our website is your first resource. As you learn more about our programs, please contact us if you have any questions or comments.
