The South Center's trickle irrigation demonstration project taught
clientele a cost-efficient method of providing irrigation and
fertilizer treatments for more efficient utilization by landscape crops
which reduces water usage by 80 percent and reduces soil erosion
compared to overhead irrigation systems. Results: Evaluation data was
used by our ever-expanding Green Industry and consumer horticulture
clientele to determine marketable and site-compatible plant
genotypes.
