Some 1,500 superior yellow perch were selected

Some 1,500 superior yellow perch were selected as broodfish for the next generation. Two genetically improved lines of yellow perch have been produced, and their growth performance is being compared and monitored. The preliminary data show that the two improved lines grow 40% and 18% faster than unimproved fish.
