The Ohio State University South Centers, located at 1864 Shyville Road, Piketon, will be hiring college students with excellent work performance and ethics for summer employment. Students will be hired as a Student Assistant, Non-OSU and will be performing field or laboratory-work as required. Responsibilities include:
setting-up irrigation system;
collection and analysis of air, plant, water and soil samples,
picking berries, harvesting vegetables,
planting trees,
washing glassware,
data entry,
office work, etc.
Students will be required to work independently or as a group in the field, or laboratory unless otherwise advised by their supervisor. Primary job site will be Piketon, although some travel to outlying farms or research sites may be required. Weekly schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Interested students must be 18 years of age and are required to complete an OSU application, which are available at 1864 Shyville Rd., Piketon. Starting salary for selected student workers will be $7.70 per hour. Application deadline is April 13, 2012.
