Boot Camp

Aquaculture Boot Camp transforms civilians into fish farmers. The program consists of three modules of training based on levels of experience. The ABC intensive program will not be offered in 2015.

The Introductory program is for civilians wishing to familiarize themselves with basic aquaculture concepts.

The Intermediate program is for new and beginning fish farmers wishing to further their aquaculture knowledge.

25 new and beginning fish farmers are recruited to attend the Intensive program of monthly hands-on aquaculture training, business education and business plan development.

ABC Introductory students are welcome to participate in conferences and the bus tour.

Benefits from ABC Introductory Program

Each month, up to five ABC Intermediate recruits will be accepted to participate in the hands-on aquaculture training with the ABC Intensive class.

Invitations to attend three technical workshops and the bus tour along with the intensive class.

Participants are encouraged to complete their homework assignments, watch the online PowerPoint presentations, and view the videos of the training activities.

The monthly training will be provided by university specialists as well as an experienced fish farmer serving as the class mentor.
