Mr. Chip Lovell is based in Columbus, Ohio and
works for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Mr. Lovell's duty is to issue the
permits necessary for farmers to kill predatory birds legally. Here is new

Answer: The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Wildlife coordinates the permitting of aquaculture in Ohio. Publication 61 (link here) explains which species can be raised, what permits are necessary, how much they cost and where to apply. Answer: The NCRAC Extension - State Importation and Transportation website for the 12 North Central Region and 9 adjacent states are now available on NCRAC http://ag.ansc.purdue.edu/aquanic/ncrac/. This site will provide the links to where you can find out this information. Just click on the state you wish to find out their permitting laws and you will be taken to that respective state's permitting department.

Answer: Every state has their own requirements and permits. You should contact each state that you will be traveling through or to in order to get updated information. This State Contact List for the Transport of Live Aquatic Animals (State Contacts) was developed by the National Association of State Aquaculture Coordinators and should be helpful.
