Aquaculture Genetics and Breeding Program at the Ohio State University South Centers has active genetics and breeding projects with fish. The candidates will be working on marker-assisted selection using microsatellite and SNP tools to improve growth rate and other economic traits of fish, focusing on the parentage analysis and QTL mapping. We primarily seek candidates with MS and PhD degrees in molecular genetics. Experience with fish molecular biology, quantitative genetics and selective breeding is desirable. The candidate must be comfortable working as a member of research team, and have good data analysis, statistics, and writing skills.
