Recirculation System Courses

  • Where can I get training for recirculation Aquaculture?

Answer: Unfortunately, we don’t have that type of expertise at Ohio State University, yet. We can get you started, but for through training you may want to take the advice below. This is an email correspondence from the Ohio Aquaculture Association.

For those interested in training in recirculation aquaculture designs, I can recommend the following short course: Cornell University and the Freshwater Institute Annual Recirculation Aquaculture Systems Short Course.

Description: Course intended to give a thorough coverage of design, operation, and management of water reuse systems for finfish. By end of workshop, individuals should be able to design their own water reuse systems and have a fundamental knowledge of the principles influencing design decisions. The course will either take place on site or via distance learning. The "hands on" course will be located at The Freshwater Institute, RR1, Box 256 Turner Rd., Shepherdstown, WV, 25443. Distance learners will have to have access to the Internet to participate in daily online chats with the instructor. Contact:
